Arizona Defensive Driving Details

Most violations in the State of Arizona are eligible for diversion (dismissal) upon completion of our Arizona Defensive Driving course. To be eligible to receive a ticket diversion, you must meet the following requirements:

1. You have not taken an AZ defensive driving course within the last 12 months.

2. Your citation is eligible for diversion / dismissal (see below) and is issued by an Arizona court

3. You may only participate in defensive driving in Arizona for the diversion of 1 violation

4. If you hold a commercial driver's license (CDL holder), you are eligible for diversion of a violation only if the vehicle you were driving at the time of the violation is NOT a commercial vehicle.

5. You must complete this defensive driving course at least 7 days PRIOR to your court date.

6. If you hold an out of State driver's license, you can take the course for diversion.

The AZ violation codes in the table below are eligible for diversion. If you do not see your violation code listed here, do not enroll for defensive driving but check with your court for clarification of the violation number.

Benefits of AZ Ticket Diversion:

Complete our Arizona defensive driving course and the points from your violation will not be added to your AZ driving record. This will keep your insurance rates from going up and refresh your driving knowledge.

AZ Ticket Dismissal Confirmation:

Some courts do not send confirmation when they dismiss your ticket.  Our services are complete once we have sent notification of completion and remittance to the court. Confirm DDS completion with your court or visit the State case lookup site for verification.
